What is the fight of your life? The fight of my life has been an ongoing battle with depression. The stigma that goes with experiencing mental health struggles as a Christian in the public eye made it hard for me to talk about it for a long time. It felt as though it was evidence of a weak faith, like I wasn’t “doing it right”. 

I kept this song private for years, believing that it was a personal prayer that I desperately needed but that it was for my ears only. 

I’ve decided to release it now after all this time because I’m learning that so many of us need to feel normal in the struggles we face - whether it’s the fight for positive mental health, with long term illness, relational problems or whatever life throws at us. It’s not just me - we’re all in the fight of our lives. In it together. And I believe Jesus in present with us in that fight, and can be our joy in the darkest moments.
