share good news

share good news
This is the thing, we can gather together each night of #TheGoodNewsTour, sing songs, worship God and leave feeling encouraged— or we can make these nights even transformational by bringing our friends who need to hear the good news of Jesus. Don’t hear us wrong, we all need those times to just get away from the distractions of the world and worship Jesus. They are important and good. But on this tour we’re encouraging you all to join us as purveyors of the GOOD NEWS of Jesus by bringing someone along who needs to hear it. It can be a friend who has never known the love of God, or even just someone who needs that encouragement in their lives. We promise we will share the truth of Jesus each night, and pray for the Holy Spirit to transform. It’s not our jobs to change hearts, but it is our job to be obedient. So here’s your challenge: 1. Click here and by two tickets— one for you and a friend, 2. Pray over who God would have you bring, ask him who in your life needs His Good News, 3. Post a picture of your tickets with the hashtag #sharegoodnews so that we can be praying for you and your friend that night. We love you guys and can’t wait to see what God’s gonna do!! #sharegoodnews

  • Hi Rend Collective! To celebrate the Good News album, I want to share a good news (I’m not sure if this is the best place to do it, I apologize if it isn’t).
I’m from Brazil and in September, 2015 I went to the US under an exchange program and I spent my first senior year over there. Back then I remember I had no relationship with God or any religion. On January I lost my grandma, who lived in a different state than the rest of my family in Brazil and I was alone in the US. Those were like the worst days of my life, and for some reason I thought something like “if God exists, he’s the only one who can help my family and comfort them” and the reason why I was so worried is because my great grandma is still alive and she was 98 yo and completely lucid. I knew it wouldn’t be easy to tell her the truth and everybody was afraid of how she would react. On that day I remember I decided to ask God for help and I prayed, even though I had no clue about how to pray. After almost one month of me praying everyday and talking to my mom, trying to figure out a way to tell my great grandma what had happened, God did the most amazing thing. My great grandma asked my mom to go to her house and told her she had this dream and she saw her two daughters (one of them was my grandma) and through the dream God told her what happened and by the end of the conversation, before my mom said any word, she said she already knew my grandma passed away. It was very crazy and when I knew about it, the first thing that crossed my mind was “God did it” and then “He exists”. I went from not believing in anything to seeing God in every single thing. Then I started to wonder “so… who is this God?”. I spent three weeks just thinking about it, all the time. I remember asking people from very different religions about the God they believed, but in the end of the day, I always ended up reading the bible on my tablet. Until one day when I was alone in my bedroom and I was reading the bible at 4am or something and I felt God talking to me through it. At that very moment I understood the God I was looking for was Jesus and I couldn’t help surrendering. That’s how I became a believer and that’s my Good News.

I’m sorry for the long post, I did try hard to keep it short without missing the relevant stuff, and the reason why I’m sharing this with you guys is because Rend Collective is my favorite band, I listen to your songs a lot, God has been using you guys in so many ways you can’t even imagine. I learn a lot through your work. Thanks for doing what you guys have been doing. Since you guys went on a tour in California right before I became a believer and got to know you, I never had the opportunity to be on a live concert. I will just keep praying God will bring the band to South America hahaha. God bless you all!
